Lakshay Kukreja
Behavior Therapist
Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT)
M.A. Psychology

Lakshay Kukreja is a Behavior Therapist at Project I with a unique ability to blend behavioral science and creative expression. Trained as an ABA Technician and holding a Master’s in Psychology, Lakshay has been working with neurodiverse learners since 2018, primarily in educational and therapeutic settings.
What sets Lakshay apart is his background in music and the performing arts — a self-taught musician with certifications from Trinity College (Grade 5) and Rockschool (Level 6), he integrates rhythm, sound, and creativity into behavior analytic practice. His sessions often include music-based leisure learning, emotional regulation through movement, and rhythm-based communication exercises.
At Project I, Lakshay works across age groups, supporting learners in developing functional life skills, leisure routines, and independence. He is especially skilled at using music to help learners express themselves, regulate their emotions, and build confidence in group settings.
Beyond his clinical work, Lakshay contributes to the creative spirit of Project I — whether it’s jamming with the kids, helping design activity-based interventions, or adding warmth to the center’s culture with his calm, encouraging presence.
When he’s not working, Lakshay is usually baking, composing music, or spending quality time with his dog Barfi — often all at once.
