She holds a Master’s in Special Education (Severe and Comprehensive Disabilities) from Vanderbilt University and a Master’s in Psychology from Delhi University.
As the Director and Co-founder of Project I, Ipshita is deeply committed to creating meaningful spaces of engagement for older learners, especially those with limited communication. Her work focuses on teaching age-appropriate, functional skills while promoting dignity, autonomy, and inclusion.
Ipshita’s research centers around culturally and linguistically sensitive interventions, as well as the development of automated caregiver training modules for severe challenging behavior. Her work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis and Remedial and Special Education. She has presented at national and international conferences, including NEIPID, ABAI, QABA, and TABA.
In addition to her clinical work, Ipshita is a passionate advocate for trauma-informed ABA and believes in empowering caregivers and professionals through accessible, evidence-based education. She has mentored and supervised aspiring professionals both in India and the U.S., helping shape a new generation of behavior analysts.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find her brewing coffee, playing the ukulele, or chasing good music at a live gig.
